One of our sayings here at Move Along is… These programs exist to help integrate both able-bodied and disabled individuals into inclusive sports opportunities. Our Inclusive Sports program, is focused on building up the student’s awareness of available adaptive sports for those individuals with mobility issues in an inclusive setting. Recent data also indicates that there are more than 12,700 veterans with a service-related disability The American Community Survey (Report B18105) reports that there are more than 8,800 individuals 5-34 years of age and 59,000 individuals 3-64 yrs of age, living in our service area, who identify as having a physical disability. This enables them to best integrate into society and serve as their advocatesĪt Move Along we believe in a world where people with disabilities fulfill their dreams and aspirations, live healthy lives, and have access to sport and recreation. By offering an array of athletic and artistic programming, along with opportunities for peer-to-peer support, Move Along helps build and develop participant’s self-confidence and enhance their sense of self-worth.
